Welcome to my homemaking life

Hello, Internet! I must confess, this is about my six thousandth blog. I mean really. I have made quite a few. Two on beauty, one on blogging (very Inception), one on the Beatles, one on preppy fashion, one on shoes...the list goes on and on (and on). One could say I'm a blog fanatic.

I'm getting older now, and family life leads me to be interested in and want to share different things. I want to tell you about the trips we take, the restaurants we go to, my home decorating ideas, recipes, and what really dictates my life today. It's very different than it was in the past, and I'm ultimately very expressive, so my blog has to reflect that.

Also, controversially, I am making this blog on the Blogger platform. Blogger has fallen out of favor in recent years and I would normally be horrified, but I'm giving it another chance since they've made some big changes since I used it last. I like their mobile app too. I also need that because I need to be less anal and crazy about each and every post and each and every detail. It doesn't have to be perfect. It has to be Mommy Dove. And that brand is about imperfection, to me.
