The Easiest, Tastiest Salsa You'll Ever Make

My favorite recipes are always the simplest. I'm not one to brag, but my signature salsa recipe is honestly the best salsa I've ever tasted, and it's super duper simple. Plus, it takes no time at all to prepare.

What You'll Need:
  • 2 whole tomatoes, diced and drained
  • 1 serrano pepper, cut
  • 1/4 onion, chopped
  • 1 lime
  • 1 pinch of fresh cilantro
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • A dash of ground black pepper (dontcha love these ultra-scientific measurements?)

You can substitute whole tomatoes with canned tomatoes if you don't have access for whatever reason, and/or substitute the fresh lime with storebought lime juice, but the tastiest version uses fresh produce.

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy:
  1. Add all ingredients to blender except lime.
  2. Cut lime in half and squeeze juice into blender.
  3. Puree until smooth.
  4. Enjoy!
Tip: Make sure to dice and cut the ingredients fairly liberally, as you don't want to puree for too long.

2 comments:

  1. If I use canned diced tomatoes and granulated onion powder, will there REALLY be a taste difference? Or regular (Mortons) salt instead of sea salt?

    1. Marcia - if that's all you have access to, I'm sure they will work fine. But if you can, freshest is bestest :)
